The Admin Panel
Every band or project in TourLife has an Admin panel. This is where you invite your team, decide who sees and does what, and shape TourLife to the way your band or project works. This section of the documentation walks you through every part of it.
Who can access the Admin panel?
The Admin item appears in the sidebar for every user with the Can manage users permission. Users without this permission won't see the menu item, and are sent back to the dashboard if they try to open the page directly. Have a look at User Permissions for an overview of every available permission.
Changes in the Admin panel only apply to the band or project you have currently selected. If you are part of multiple bands or projects, switch to the right one first!
What's in the Admin panel?
The Admin panel is split up into a number of tabs:
| Tab | What it does | Documentation |
|---|---|---|
| Users | Invite, import, edit and remove users | Managing Users |
| Settings | Defaults for new events, guestlists, attendance reminders and communication | Project Settings |
| Features | Turn event tabs (Guestlist, Setlist, Hotel, ...) on or off for the whole project | Project Settings |
| Permissions | Edit the permissions of all users at once | Project Settings |
| Visibility | Decide which event tabs every user gets to see | Project Settings |
| Notifications | Configure email and push notifications for all users | Project Settings |
| Tags | Create labels to categorize events | Tags |
| Templates | Reusable blocks of text you can insert in any text field | Templates |
| Custom Fields | Add your own fields to events | Custom Fields |
| Event Types | Choose and create the types of events in your project | Event Types |
| Sync Settings | Import events from an external platform such as Master Tour, ABOSS or Rentman | Integrations |
| Notification Log | See which notifications TourLife sent, to whom and when | Project Settings |
Some tabs only show up when they are enabled for your project: Custom Fields and Sync Settings need to be switched on by us first. If you'd like to use them, get in touch!
Licensing
Most actions in the Admin panel require an active TourLife license for your band or project. When the license has expired, buttons like Add User or Edit Permissions will be disabled. Organization admins can see when each project's license expires in the Organization overview. Contact us to renew or extend a license.
