Tags
Tags are labels you add to events, so you can categorize and filter them. Think Summer tour 2026, Acoustic set or Needs backline. Where event types say what kind of event something is, tags let you group events in any way that makes sense to your team.
Creating a tag
- Go to Admin → Tags.
- Click Add a Tag.
- Fill in the options below. The preview shows what the tag will look like.
- Click Add.
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Name | The label shown on the event |
| Description | Explains what the tag is for |
| Icon and color | Makes the tag easy to spot |
| Include in Calendar Sync | Shows the tag in the event description of the Calendar Sync feed (iCal, Google Calendar, ...) |
| Include in Public API | Includes the tag in the public API, and thus in the TourLife widget |
Editing and deleting tags
The Tags page lists all tags in your project with their icon, color and description. Use the edit button to change a tag, or the delete button to remove it.
Tips
- Keep internal tags private. Only turn on Include in Public API for tags you want fans to see on your website, like Sold out or Acoustic set. Leave it off for internal tags like Needs backline.
- Make your calendar more useful. With Include in Calendar Sync, your team sees the tags right in their calendar app, without having to open TourLife.
