Templates

How often do you type the same thing in an event? The parking instructions for your van, the standard hospitality request, the crew's arrival checklist... With Templates you write those texts once, and insert them in a few clicks wherever you need them.

note

Templates are reusable blocks of text. Looking for branded documents like callsheets or invoices generated from your events? That's Document Generation.

Creating a template

  1. Go to Admin → Templates.
  2. Click Add a Template.
  3. Give the template a name you'll recognize later, e.g. Hospitality request.
  4. Write the content. You have the full text editor at your disposal: headings, bold, colors, links, lists and even images.
  5. Click Save.

The Templates page shows all templates for your project, including who created them and when. Use the edit and delete buttons to keep the list up to date.

Using a template

Templates are available in every rich text field in TourLife, such as event descriptions and the descriptions in event tabs.

  1. Place your cursor where the text should go.
  2. Click the templates button in the editor toolbar.
  3. Search for and pick a template.

The content of the template is inserted at your cursor. From there it's normal text: changes you make only affect this event, not the template itself.
